What Anubis actually does
A configurable ARK: Survival Ascended ArkApi plugin for preserving player progress after deaths, server crashes, and other bad moments. Features are optional where noted, so owners can choose the rules that fit their cluster.

Manual or automatic recovery
Players can list and recover pending deaths, or opt in to automatic recovery. Owners can configure permissions, recovery costs, and whether the death bag is removed after a successful recovery.

Dino death recovery
Optionally records owned dino deaths with identity, species, level, location, and cryopod data so an administrator can recover the dino and its inventory.

Crash and timed snapshots
Optional periodic player snapshots and crash baselines provide an administrator recovery path when a normal death record is not enough.

ProfileGuard vault
Watches supported player profile files, keeps configurable history, and can restore missing profiles from the local ProfileVault after a server or transfer problem.

Shoulder-pet protection
When enabled, attached shoulder pets can be cryopodded on player death and placed into the captured inventory for recovery with the rest of the snapshot.

Anti-duplication safeguards
Tracks death sources and recovery state, blocks repeat claims, supports death-bag cleanup, and avoids restoring non-recoverable cosmetics or configured blacklist items.

MySQL or local SQLite
Use MySQL for shared cluster storage, or a local SQLite database for a single-server installation. Recovery records stay in the selected backend.
